I have read many Agatha Christie mystery books. But recently I read one of her non-mystery novels she wrote under the pen name Marry Westmacott – A Daughter’s a Daughter.
This book was not what I was ready for. It made me think about a lot of things. The main story was about the ups and downs of a mother-daughter relationship. Full of human emotions. This book made me think that Agatha Christie should be more popular for her non-mystery books.
In the book, there was a line I can not get out of my mind. It said something like – We all live alone. Every experience we have is unique to us. No matter how close we are to anyone, no matter how much we try to explain the world we are seeing, no one else is going to see or experience it the same way.
It makes me feel good and bad at the same time. I mean it helps me understand why I feel so lonely at times and it also tells me that everyone is lonely in their own way.
So, this book brought a lot of subconscious emotions to the surface.
